Emma Neill is an emerging artist practicing in her studio in the Adelaide Hills, Kaurna Land.
She is fascinated with her surroundings and aims to explore this theme more extensively in the future. Her aim is to capture these moments and share her everyday thoughts and feelings with the world predominantly through painting.
In her current body of work for her upcoming exhibition ‘the Disconnect’ at Floating Goose Studios, she has been reflecting on the vast difference between her younger self and the person she is today. It's remarkable how much you grown and evolve over your lifetime.
No longer will you see her dressed head-to-toe in pink; instead she enjoys driving a tractor or changing tyres. It's clear to her that a lot has changed along the way and this is what she aims to explore this in her upcoming paintings paintings.
Her recent works have been predominantly landscape paintings exploring beauty in the everyday for her SALA exhibition in August 2023.
