In the collection below, Emma aims to express the connection that the people of West Torrens have with their area, and express what beauty lies in the small things. She chose to exhibit this collection at the Little Gallery just outside of LoveOn Café in Mile End, as this gallery as it is the closest to Rose Street.

The row of cottages on Rose Street are quite interesting to me as they look the same as each other but are all so different at the same time. They have their own personalities and unique characteristics. I find it fascinating the ways each owner has personalised their house, whether it is their letterbox, their front garden, or their front porch. So many similarities yet so many differences. I love seeing all the little details on each piece of land and I want to draw these to show their significance in making West Torrens such a homely place.

All works are professionally framed with Art Glass, which has 70% UV protection, preventing the work from fading over time. It also has non-reflective qualities specifically designed for gallery-standard artworks.
