‘The Disconnect’, a feeling ingrained in all of us, unique in its ability to both isolate and unite. The Disconnect is an exhibition of new work from artists Elise Clements, Emma Neill and Lara Kittel exploring the innate human experience of disconnect and the juxtaposing need for connection. Speaking about this communal sense of disconnect will, in a way, allow us to feel connected to one another and those who experience the exhibition.

In this body of work I have been reflecting on the vast difference between my younger self and the person I am today. It's remarkable how much I've grown and evolved since my childhood. From being an incredibly shy girl who struggled to engage in conversation to the person I am now, the journey has been both challenging and immensely rewarding. No longer am I dressed head-to-toe in pink; instead I enjoy driving a tractor or changing tyres.  It's clear to me that a lot has changed along the way and this is what I aim to explore in my paintings.
